A right-arm opening bowler, Earl has developed a reputation for accuracy, seam movement and disciplined spells with the new ball. Parramatta District Cricket Club describes him as a clever fast-medium bowler who consistently probes the batter and looks to create pressure rather than relying simply on pace.

The 2024/25 season was a significant one for Earl. Cricket NSW listed him as the competition's eighth-highest wicket-taker heading into the finals, with 42 wickets, while Parramatta went into the First Grade final having qualified in first position. Earlier in the finals series, Earl produced one of his standout performances, scoring 54 not out and taking 6/30 from 21 overs against Hawkesbury, his first five-wicket haul in First Grade.

Earl has also demonstrated his ability to contribute with the bat. In Parramatta's 2022/23 season awards, he received the Les Pye All Rounder Award in the Poidevin-Gray competition, and his best bowling performance that season was 7/15 against Campbelltown in Third Grade.

Away from playing, Earl has developed a role in coaching. The Hills Cricket Academy currently lists him as an Academy Coach, with a Level 1 coaching accreditation. His coaching specialisations are batting and bowling, and his previous coaching appointments include the Parramatta Cricket Academy and Westfield Sports High School.
